A BIG THANKYOU On the early evening of Tuesday 14th November my partner, Rosemary Wickens, collapsed on the footpath at the bus stop outside 121 Barnhorn Road from a brain haemorrhage. On a busy road, a number of amazing people stopped their vehicles and came to my assistance. A lovely blonde lady NHS worker, a gent who I was told was on off duty fireman, and another gent who all tried to administer CPR and one other lady who offered help. In an amazingly short time, the first of three ambulance vehicles arrived whose crew immediately set to work to try to save Rosemary. They all showed their professionalism and skill under difficult circumstances but sadly Rosemary did not survive after arriving at the Conquest hospital. This was an example of the NHS and human nature at its best and we will be forever grateful for all those who tried to save her and offer help. We do not know who they are but hope that the thoughts in this letter manage to reach all those involved. Peter Gooch Barnhorn Road, Bexhill
